Everyone knows November in the North East means only one thing – Christmas. And while I’ve sprinkled in a few festive happenings around the region, there’s still time to enjoy some autumnal events.
Pyromusical at Kynren

The Night Market at the Boiler Shop

If you love a good market (like me), you’ll absolutely eat this one up. Back for its third year, The Night Market at Boiler Shop brings together over 70 makers, creators, artists, bakers, and other talented folk so you can browse around and have a little splurge. Christmas Lights Switch On
When: 6 November

As I’m writing this, I can literally hear Mariah Carey singing in the background. Yep, it’s that time again. Gather your friends, family, and loved ones, and head to Grey Street for some live music, festive games, and maybe even a chance to see Santa. The big lights switch-on starts at 7 pm, and for the love of God, leave your car at home.

Big Ange at Live Theatre

Big Ange written and directed by Olivier award-winning Jamie Eastlake is premiering at

Gin & Rum Festival at Newcastle Cathedral

Calling all gin and rum lovers, this one will be right up your street.
