Thrilling adventure on the big screen! The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is bringing a night of action-packed adventure films to venues around the North East, starting next month.
With cutting-edge expeditions and extraordinary tales of human resilience, the 2026 Banff Mountain Film Festival stars the world’s top athletes and explorers as they test their limits in remote corners of the globe. Witness nail-biting climbing, mountain biking, skiing and more, from the comfort of a cinema seat.
The breath-taking documentaries will each see a free prize giveaway to win outdoorsy goodies from the tour’s partners.
The films are chosen from hundreds of entries into the BanƯ Mountain Film and Book Festival. It takes place every November in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and celebrated
its 50th anniversary in 2025.
The winner will select from these dates and venues:
Whitley Bay, Playhouse, 12-13 February
Yarm, Yarm School, 14 February and 26 September
