April Favourites 2025: Beauty, Fashion, Home and More

April Favourites 2025

Or, in other words, a list of random favourites I’m loving this April 2025 – we’re talking beauty, fashion, home and more

In the spirit of keeping up with my promise to be transparent and authentic with my content, I’m pulling together a round-up of products I have been loving this April. All of which have been tried, tested and recommended by yours truly.

April Favourites 2025: Haircare

Kerastase 8H Magic Night Serum – Overnight Hair Treatment, £49.50

Having had blonde hair for as long as I can remember, I do try to look after it when I can, and Kerastase’s 8H Magic Night Serum has truly been a godsend. I use it in the evening, two or three times a week, and not only does this product make my hair smell dreamy, it actually works.

I mean, for the price of nearly £50, you’d expect it to work. I’ve heard mixed reviews about Kerastase’s shampoos and conditioners, but this – this works. So, if, like me, you have bleached, dry hair, I would strongly recommend getting this overnight hair treatment.

If, however, it seems a little too expensive, keep in mind: I’ve had my bottle since July 2024 and it’s still half full. A little goes a long way!

April Favourites 2025: Skincare

Look At Me Teen Again Day Cream with Collagen + Peptide, £8 (got it at TK Maxx)
April Favourites 2025

I’m a little bit of a skincare freak and, surprise, surprise, I tend to overdo it sometimes. Keep in mind, I have combination, extremely sensitive, and rosacea-prone skin. I’ve been using niacinamide for as long as I can remember, and I just recently noticed that it makes my skin even more red and irritated than it honestly needs to be.

So, I ditched it, did a little bit of research, and decided to opt for this collagen and peptide day cream/serum. It’s more like a serum than a cream, but nevertheless, it is wonderful. It’s very gentle and calming and has anti-aging benefits – and as someone who’s at the ripe age of 28, I care about these things.

I’ve only been using it for the past month, but I’m loving it so far.

April Favourites 2025: Books

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, £9.19

I love a controversial read, and this one… This one is something. I’m sure a lot of you will know what this book is about, but in a short summary – it is about a 38-year-old man who ‘falls in love’ (I’m writing this through gritted teeth) with a 12-year-old Dolores Haze. He calls her Lolita. All little children are ‘Lolitas’ to him, that sick old pervert.

I don’t know why I love a messed-up book, but I really do. What surprises me most about this one is that a book this messed up can be written in such a beautiful way. No, honestly! The descriptions of nature and other outside factors just flow, almost like a song.

Ugh, I hate it! Gimme more!

April Favourites 2025: Home

Aroma Essence Humidifier, £10 (also got it at at TK Maxx)

Ever since I got this little humidifier, I have been sleeping much better. Not that I had insomnia, but more often than not, I do tend to wake up with a headache for no reason. So every evening, just before bed, I make sure to turn this one on, and I wake up feeling more rested and ready to tackle another day.

This humidifier has LED lights and different mist settings. It’s a tiny one too, fitting right into your car’s cup holders for a little aromatherapy moment.

April Favourites 2025: Make Up

Maybelline Lifter Gloss, shade: 23 Sweetheart, £8.99
April Favourites 2025

I used to be a big lover of Benefit’s Love Tint, but I’ve recently noticed that it really dries out my lips, so I switched to Maybelline’s Lifter Gloss and haven’t looked back since. It’s packed with hyaluronic acid, so it keeps my lips glossy, moisturised, and gives just a slight tint of red.

I had a phase when I used to wear a bold, bright red lip almost every day, and I think this might just be my version of ‘eyebrow blindness’. I just didn’t know how to line my lips properly, and to be completely honest, I still don’t, which is why I’m sticking to lip gloss. It’s so much easier.

P.S. There is also a lip plump version of this gloss.

April Favourites 2025: Perfume

R.E.M by Ariana Grande, £53

Not big on celebrity perfumes, but I can’t deny that if there’s a celebrity who does it right, it’s Ariana Grande. I was a big fan of her very first perfume, Ari, and also Sweet Like Candy, but I think R.E.M. has to be my favourite.

It’s got top notes of zefir, caramel, salt, fig, and quince; middle notes of lavender and pear blossom; and base notes of musk, tonka bean, and sandalwood. I think it’s the base notes that get me. It’s not too sweet, not too overpowering. I mostly use it during the daytime, and the scent lasts the whole day. Never EDT, always EDP!

April Favourites 2025: Fashion

Zara Pastel Pink Dress with Sweetheart Neckline, £22.99

As someone who tends to wear a lot of black, I’m currently trying to switch it up a bit and introduce more colour into my wardrobe. I just think black had its moment, but it’s getting a little boring now.

I’m obsessed with the fabric of this dress – it’s not flimsy and doesn’t crinkle no matter what you do. I must admit, it’s incredibly short, but so very cute. If I pair it with black tights, Dr. Martens and a leather jacket, it’s so me.
